Synology reveal 1815+ Intel Quad Core 8-Bay NAS

At the begin of this year we move from our old PC server to a huge honkin’ NAS. now Synology have revealed the successor to the award winning DS1813+, the new 1815+.

It features an all-new quad core Intel Atom C2538 2.4GHz CPU with AES-NI hardware encryption engine.

It still ships with 2GB of RAM however it’s expandable to  6GB now, up from 4GB. other modifications include improved maximum frame rate catch when utilizing the system to record your  CCTV cameras – for example 1920 x 1080p is up from a overall of 300 fps to 480 fps.
